On June 15, 2002, the Synod of the Diocese of New Westminster voted to authorize the blessing of same sex unions. In response to this disregard for the authority of scripture, the authority of the Canadian House of Bishops, and of the Lambeth Conference, many orthodox delegates withdrew from synod in order to remain in communion with the wider Anglican Communion.
In this Video, Bishop Chuck Murphy passionately brings to light the truth and importance of Orthodoxy, in the Christian Church. The over- whelming joy of that truth is evident in the climax of the service, as representatives from dozens of congregations celebrate orthodoxy, in the closing hymn, "All Hail the Power of Jesus Name".
